Use & maintenance

Please be careful to remove all sand before clicking the separate pieces of Cuppi and Raki back together.

Otherwise some sand might stay in between, making it more difficult to re-open afterwards

Quut hard plastic toys (the outdoor / beach range) can be easily cleaned by using soap and water and can even be put in the dishwasher. This will clean your toys thoroughly.

The Quutopia soft foam bath toys can also be cleaned by using soap and water or in the dishwasher. If easier you can also clean them in your washing machine at 30° and / or 40°, when doing so we would advise you to put them in a little wash bag (as you would use for delicate clothes), just because some pieces are rather small.

The Quutopia bath toys are made of EVA, a soft foam with a closed cell structure that has the property of not absorbing water. To keep the toys hygienically clean, make sure to rinse the bath toys after use and store them dry.

Items or parts that stay constantly wet might develop mold and mildew on wet surfaces. F.i. when a puzzle is constantly sticking to the shower wall, the surface between the wall and the puzzle will be wet all the time. In such a case mold or mildew might develop. Because the toy is less slippery than the shower wall, the mold will adhere to the surface of the toy. But the material itself will not be infected because of its closed cell structure. Should your EVA bath toys display signs of mold, you can easily clean them with nail polish remover. Put some remover on a cotton pad and rub the mold off. Then rinse. The toys will look great again.

Our playmats are non-porous (they are waterproof) and thus super easy to clean! A damp cloth will often do the trick. Should you use soap, be sure to choose a mild one. Don’t forget to dry off the entire mat after cleaning.

Basically it’s possible to use the vacuum, but be gently. The vacuum nozzle can damage the mat when suction power is too strong or when you make brute moves.

Not everybody is a puzzle wizard. That’s why we have a short assembly video here.

Our playmats were developed for indoor use. EVA foam is a durable material, but it is sensitive to sharp objects such as pebbles, small rocks, rough textured terrace tiles, …

Therefore we advise not to use the mat outside. Moreover, it is not recommended to place the mat in direct sunlight as this might affect the color and quality.

When you place (heavy) furniture or sharp-angled objects on the mat, this can leave permanent impressions. Pets can also leave permanent marks on the surface of the playmat.

The texture on the top of the outside serves as a protective layer against dirt, light scratches or dents, … The bottom is more sensitive and therefore should not be used as a surface to play on.
