Our playmats are made of high-quality EVA foam. They comply with all the safety standards imposed by the EU and US. At Quut we even take it a step further. For example our mat are completely formamide free, whilst legislation allows a certain maximum. Besides that they are free from BPA, phthalates and latex. Our playmats are also CE-certified.
It’s possible that the first couple of hours after unboxing you might detect a funny smell. No worries, are playmats are completely free from toxic substances and 100% safe for you and your family. The foam needs a while after opening the box to air out a little. That’s why we recommend to wipe the mat with a damp cloth, pat it dry and let it rest for 24 hours before the first use. This gives the mat the opportunity to air out and be ready to play on!
Our EVA playmats can present slight color differences in different puzzle pieces. This is proper to the production technique. Moreover, this contributes to the playful, organic and animated character of the playmat. A real cloud simply has many differences in hues, colors and shapes as well, and that’s what makes it so beautiful. This way every mat is unique.
Another characteristic of EVA is that the foam might exhibit some small air bubbles, from during production. This is not a production error, but a property of the material used.
